Dorcas was a woman in New Testament times who was well-known for her kindness and charitable acts (Acts 9.36-43).

Named for this early Christian disciple and seeking to follow her example, the Dorcas Room is a food ministry which is open on the first Saturday of each month from 8:30 – 10:00 AM. Emergency situations are handled by appointment only.

In addition, each year just prior to school starting, the Dorcas Room sponsors a school supply giveaway for Greenbrier and Ridgetop area students in need.

The Dorcas Room annually sponsors a Christmas Toy Give Away for children and families in the Greenbrier-Ridgetop area.

Computers are also available for creating resumes.

Church membership or attendance is not required to benefit from this ministry.
